A huge amount of plastic is being trashed every day. Plastics may be seen by some as a "single-use" objects, yet the recovery of these elements can create a valuable resource for local communities. It allows artists and makers to transform local wastes into valuable resources and/or art. In addition, local recycling reconnects humans and their waste as it will help them understand the impact they are contributing to; thus, it encourages them to think twice before buying and/or wasting plastics.

Objectives:
1. Transform plastic waste into high-quality long-life objects. 
2. Reconnect humans and their plastic waste through education, treat plastic waste as a precious and finite resource
3. Anchor the project into the local community.

For this to be effective, the local community must be part of it.

Short-term goals

Long-term goals

  • Operate in three types of spaces:

    • Technical space: Have physical presence in makerspace(s) for connecting to the local ecosystems and to facilitate access to machinery (for workshops & backstage of plastic-related product making).

    • R&D Space: An office space to work on product design, documentation, formulation of reports...

    • Market-intersecting/Outreach space: Have a storefront to increase accessibility / visibility / sales...

  • Workshops (Sensibilisation/Education):

    • Machines/Parts list and tutorials (handbooks)

    • How to build the machines

    • How to operate the machines

    • How to recycle - what plastics are recycled & how

    • Recycle your own plastic

    • Going to schools (and similar…)

  • Products:

    • Fun things for kids; promotional stuff; oriented for “normal” people

    • Products oriented for makers and used to build more nodes.

  • Service:

    • Machine sales & installation

    • Consulting services: Recycling logistics

      • Program for harvesting / connecting nodes

      • The capacity of the machine (per batch/type/day or month) - the type of raw products that one can have, the other inputs of the machine (electricity needed, people to operate, or any other resources that machine uses).
