The Matchmaking Device is a low cost proximity sensor with matchmaking capabilities. The project includes the design and building of the Matchmaking Device for the purpose of taking it to market. See Path to market.
Approached as a component in socio-technical infrastructure to support community change management, the Device integrates meaningfulness as part of a product solution.
As a service resource this technology can help users develop a deeper appreciation for collaboration as an alternative to competition paradigms. It does so without making anyone feel attacked or judged as wrong for having been conditioned for competition and power plays, while facilitating a culture of peace. This is accomplished by taking the Matchmaking Device to market as an alternative to "Pitch Competition" events. Instead it offers the opportunity to use a different mental model that supports social innovation to connect entrepreneurs and investors or creative/professional collaborators.
The attention to cultivating a new kind of business experience, for example, can allow the Matchmaking Device to offer a value enhancement for event venues and producers. That in turn can help them define and distinguish their brands. The Matchmaking device can offer value to users by making this service available as an amenity and brand experience. It can help define the brand's experience and industry leadership.
