Description
This idea originated from Alex, who wanted to build a sauna on wheels. Tibi thought that a smaller, highly portable version that could be mounted in a backyard, on a patio or even on a balcony, could be a good start. They could personally benefit from this built, share it with family and friends and collect feedback for improvements.
The long-term vision is to give almost anyone access to well-being. The mission is to offer easy access to a sauna to almost anyone.
Tibi and Alex are building a first prototype at the Sensorica lab. In the short-term they plan to use it and to share it with family and friends. Later, they plan to test a mobile sauna rental business model and sell kits, as a part of the Sensorica collaborative enterprise ecosystem.

[28 April 2021] First prototype completed, initiating life tests.
[10 Feb. 2021] Prototyping almost completed, entering testing, need to start testing the market and get feedback.

Economic model
Economic model
The short-term economic model for this venture is based mostly on public funding and crowdfunding.
The long-term economic model for this venture is built around open innovation and distributed manufacturing (DIY).
In short, for the long run, we're geared towards providing:
DIY kits (can be transactional kit sales) that provide required vitamins (non-digitally manufactured components) to build a particular tool (Zimmermann, 2014; Gibney, 2016).
Specialty parts / components, hard-to-find, custom (ex. BackYard Brains or OpenQCM both sell the most specialized and hardest to source components for their respective open hardware tools).
Help with calibrating and validating (scientific) hardware (can be transactional service) to provide security to prosumers who build their own tools. This provides prosumers with the confidence that their measurements or functionality are acceptably reproducible, accurate and precise.
Education / Training (ex. Open Source Ecology), include support. This can also follow the consulting business model (Fjelsted et al., 2012).
Ecosystem services: provide trust, validation, discoverability, help, a place to discuss and collaborate, etc.

VENTURES are COLLABORATIVE, TRANSPARENT (anyone has access to the information that they produce) and OPEN (anyone can participate). They only produce deliverables based on OPEN SOURCE technology. VENTURES have a CUSTODIAN that represents them legally and acts as a trust for their tangible assets. VENTURES can have multiple EXCHANGE FIRMS, which are commercial entities that move products and services developed by VENTURES on the MARKET.
