Create a venture
You need to be a network AFFILIATE (individual, organization, community) in order to create VENTURES. If not, join.
Brows VENTURES first, if you find one that fits your needs join it rather than creating a new one. All VENTURES are open to participation, they should not compete for similar outcomes.
If you still want to create a new VENTURE open the help document. Need more help, announce your intention on Discord and ask for someone to assist you.

Kickstarting a VENTURE presupposes that you have already created it (see above). Open the help document

Nature of VENTURES
More about ventures on the OVN wiki.
VENTURES can be:
open and transparent,
open but non transparent,
semi-closed.
They are:
endogenous: emerge within the environment,
exogenous: brought from other environments,
or both.
All resources created in the OVN environment are shared among all VENTURES.
VENTURES that generate tangible benefits must contribute to the OVN's infrastructure (physical and virtual) maintenance and development (see the 5% rule).
A VENTURE is a context for a set of activities that produce resources and benefits. We can also see it as a locus of activity where AGENTS, animated by a shared goal, use resources in processes/events to produce other resources.
VENTURES can have sub-VENTURES. Any VENTURE can be forked, two or more VENTURES can be remixed.
VENTURES have objectives/goals/mission, have deliverables, have a set of incentives related to the benefits that result from the resources that are created, have governance.
VENTURES have at least one CUSTODIAN and can have one or more EXCHANGE FIRMS.
Type of VENTURES
Product / Service - based |exchange value
Aim: develop and commercialize a new product / service
Rewards: contributors are rewarded in an equitable way, based on their contributions. A Benefit Distribution Algorithm turns contributions into equity (understood as a claim on revenue).
Examples: Greens for Good
Important links
Social |social value
Aim: addressing a social or humanitarian problem.
Rewards: Apart from reputation (social capital), if these projects bring something positive to the Sensorica network (by increasing visibility, by improving the image, etc.) contributions to these can be logged as "Building SENSORICA" in the NRP-CAS, and rewarded from Infrastructure development and maintenance funds. Social projects can also be funded by foundations, government agencies, NGOs, private organization, or even through crowdfunding. They can even generate their own revenue, by offering small paying services.
Examples: Verdun venture, Events.
Ecosystem services | use value
Aim: facilitating ecosystem activities
Infrastructure
Aim: develop infrastructure.
Rewards: contributions to these can be logged as "Infrastructure physical/virtual" in the NRP-CAS, and rewarded from Infrastructure development and maintenance funds.
Examples: website development, NRP-CAS development, social media integration, lab space remodelling, legal framework, governance and normative system, etc.
Sourcing / Funding ventures
Aim: - acquiring and distributing / allocating resources wherever needed through classical means (ex. grants), or non classical means (crowdfunding)
Rewards: get a % of the funds delivered, as soon as they arrive. This % is fixed by project members.
Peer learning
Aim: building and disseminating ideas and knowledge
Search, matchmaking, mapping
Aim: connecting and establishing flows
